Different authorities handle travel permission, everyday services and professional requirements.

General information only, not immigration or legal advice. Reading an article does not create a client relationship. Requirements and policies can change; check the official sources before acting. Eligibility and outcomes depend on individual circumstances and decisions by the relevant authorities. No visa, permit, nomination, admission or permanent residence outcome is guaranteed.

Build an immigration checklist

Identify the official process relevant to your intended activity and the documents or conditions it requires. Check the current instructions rather than assembling a generic list from several unrelated programs. A document that supports one process may not satisfy another.

Build a settlement checklist

Organize housing, transport, communication, school and health questions separately. Identify the organization responsible for each and ask about its requirements. Access to a local service does not independently establish your immigration status, and an immigration document does not automatically qualify you for every service.

Connect the lists without merging them

Some practical plans depend on authorization or an immigration decision. Mark these dependencies and keep arrangements flexible. If a deadline or activity raises a personal status question, seek individual advice. Organized preparation is useful, but does not guarantee employment, admission, a permit or permanent residence.

Preparation checklist

  • Use program-specific immigration instructions.
  • List service providers and their requirements.
  • Mark arrangements dependent on authorization.
